Getting started with paintball?
I played paintball for my first time this past weekend. It was an incredible rush and I can't wait to get back out on the field and play again. Being that it was my first time playing, I used all rental equipment. The mask constantly fogged up/didn't fit quite right and the balls would get caught in the hopper at the most critical moments. Many of my friends already play paintball and I was hoping to join the for some woodsball. I could really use some suggestions for what type of marker I should buy (looking for a longer barrel too) and what type of mask I should look into. Any other advice would be fantastic!
Thanks
A Tippmann 98 Custom, Tippmann A5 or X-7....Tippmann anything, really. They never stop working. The A5 and X7 both have a cyclone feed system that has never failed me yet. The only drawback is taking them apart....but you rarely ever have to. They aren't the best guns for speedball, but they are perfect for woodsball. Also, try looking for a response trigger. They can help you fire almost like an automatic, but they aren't electric, so you won't need batteries or anything like that. They can fire roughly 12 balls per second.
Oh yeah, the masks that you can rent have been used so many times, that the anti-fog has probably faded. Almost all masks that you buy brand new will have anti-fog stuff on the lenses. Just find one that fits comfortably. You might want to shop around a bit. You can find masks for under $30, and you can spend more that $100. It just depends on what you like.
