Paintball Marker Stand

Does it matter what position a paintball marker is stored?

I'm going to make a storage rack for my paintball markers. I want to know does it matter what position a marker is stored? I am thinking of a stand that will hold the markers barrel down, the barrel will fit over a rod (it will not reach the front bolt).

just cover the rod with a velvet or a swab-like material n' you will be good but also i'd be careful about your weight distribution... it's not that big of a deal though, just make sure you dont have it setting on the two farthest ends of the gun cuz that MAY cause problems considering aluminum is a soft metal.
but generally NO it doesnt matter how you store it.. and i might add that you shouldnt store it with your bolt forwards if you have rubber detents, it will cause them to warp forwards and that'll make your eyes, as well as your detents less efective and you will be prone to "double loading" (loading more than one ball, leading to choping)
