What Paintball Marker/ Paintball Accessories should I get?
Hey, I'm look for a Paintball Marker that will last me for a while. I don't mind spending a bit of money (around 700$ max). I'm new to Paintball and know nothing about it, I've seen a couple of videos on Youtube about tips and building land mines, -laughs- and stuff like that but nothing really helped me. I've heard Tippmann is a good company and a couple of my friends have that type of marker, a 98 custom or something. We play a lot of Woodsball and yup.... I don't know how much more information you need but thank you for your help!!
Tippmanns are great for woodsball, they require very little maintenance and last forever. A 98 Custom is good, the A5 is better (has a cyclone feed system so you don't need to buy a hopper, is easier to disassemble for regular maintenance), the X7 is pretty much an A5 with a different body. Tippmanns will work on both air and co2.
There's also the TM7 & TM15 which are nice, but aren't really ideal for beginners due to their design. They're electronic, require air (you can't use co2) and a fast hopper.
The SP1 isn't a bad choice, is also electronic, can use co2 or air, a fast hopper would be good.
A pod belt or vest for carrying ammo, a good mask (don't cheap out on the mask. Make sure it has an anti-fog lens) and 20oz co2 tanks or an air tank will round out your kit. If you need a loader I'd recommend the Invert Halo Too because it's inexpensive and works great.
You can use any marker for woodsball, it all depends on how skilled you are at marker maintenance and repair, how much you want to spend, and what you like. I'd recommend a 98 Custom or A5 due to their simplicity, upgradability, ruggedness, they don't need batteries, doesn't matter if they get wet or muddy, and you can use co2 with them. You might want to check out forums like pbnation.com, milsimempire.com, and online stores like ansgear.com, rap4.com, specialopspaintball.com to get a look at guns and gear.

How do I work the finances on this business?
I was trying to use my property as a paintball course, but it is zoned residential.
I still plan to open a paintball course, by letting "friends of mine" use my land for free to play paintball on.
And I will charge them, but disguise the money as being paid for something else.
For example, "sure you can play paintball for free if you buy this apple from me for $30".
Would that work? How would I make it work?
What you propose still would be conducting business in a residential area, except now it would be an apple instead of paintball. It really would not matter anyway, as if the paintball course is complained about, the charging or not will have little to do with it. If your property is that close to someone else's, do you really want to be that much of an a-hole neighbor, and have you neighbors property all messed up? If it is just a zoning variance, and you are out in the middle of nowhere, go to the city/county board or clerk, and ask how to get a variance. It should not be all that difficult or expensive. Clerks are very helpful people in government, and they will point you in the right direction.
